Spent two days there in May as part of Turkey trip. First day basically was a write-off due to everything decent arriving on the other runway, being chased out of spotting locations and generally trying to fathom the place out. When we eventually found a decent spot in the afternoon the weather closed in making the shooting awful. Second day was a different story altogether. Beautiful blue skies and 95% of the arrivals landed on the 36C runway where we found a great (hidden from the watchtowers) vantage point. I’d love to have done the place more justice by spending a few more days there. These are highlights from the two days…

Eddy (civilspotter) got the SCAT a while back, I got this…(nice but I’d rather have the SCAT !)…
These two were miles away (before we found a better spot so are a bit grainy)…
Eddy got the Rusline, I got it with Tatarstan painted on it and the light was not perfect 🙁
