A few weeks ago at newcastle airport there was a Antonov 124-100 (UR-82008).
It took a crain to south africa.

Are they based at Belfast Aldergrove ? I’ve seen one there each time I’ve used the airport. Am I just confusing Belfast Airport with Heavylift’s Belfast planes ?

I’m yet to see an An-124 fly over my house while en route to EMA!

They’re actually more common in the UK than you would think. They are regularly at EMA doing charters for DHL and I’ve also seen one at STN once.
Last time I saw it at EMA was two weeks ago (UR-82009).

Yes thats true. There was two An124s taking an offshore crane to South Africa Via Ostend.
