Any army cap badge experts?

The photo is of a soldier who was a passenger on a POW repatriation flight in 1945 that I am researching. Is there anyone out there who knows anything about army cap badges and may be able to help pin down his regiment/corps please?

A pleasure.

I used to have one. I think it cost me 2/-6d which was all of my pocket money gone in one hit!

Gosh that was quick! That makes total sense as he came from Hemel Hempstead.

Very many thanks to you both!
