Greetings everyone,
In addition to my research regarding Canadian built Mk.X Avro Lancasters, I’ve been trying to scratch the surface of the elusive TCA Lancastrians.
I have many original and copies of photos, TCA time schedules, Operators Handbook and various Aeroplane features from 1945/6. However I have found very few images of the interior of the Canadian produced examples. Also traced their sale to BOAC etc.
Anyone have further details they are willing to share?

Try looking at the Canada Aviation Museum photo collection online, and so a search for “Lancaster XPP”.
As I’m sure you know, the Lancastrians used in Britain (including the one shown in the above internal photograph) were actually British built, so they don’t help you!

Others – Any further internal fuselage or overseas external airport photos from private collections? I corresponded several years ago with a gent who worked on the Lancastrian in 1944 when he was a Victory employee. Unfortunately, recent emails have now been returned.

Last summer I had an extended telephone conversation with a Canadian writer who has done extensive research on the TCA’s Lancasters. I will email the Pub with his contact information.

‘Fraid I don’t have interior photos of the Canadian Lancaster Transports or Passenger Planes, but I do have magazine references and a wee bit of info. concerning their history.
It would probably be best if you PM me and explain what you are looking for.
