Any British aircraft loss in the French Alps ?

Dear all,

we would like to know which British bomber was lost in the French Alps.

Reasin why : this cannister was found near Avrieux, this is not far from Modane and also West of Turin,

we try to find out which aircraft it comes from : any loss in this area ?

Hi GC,

There were plenty of losses in the Alps, but that is a very nice SBC (Small Bomb Container). These were used by all Bomber Command types.

Any other parts found next to this SBC?
