Hello all,
With the recent demise of Independence (FLY I ) and the numerous CRJ-200’s in storage because of their bankruptcy, I was curious to know if any large operators of the Embraer 145 aircraft have been putting them into storage due to over capacity.
i.e. Express Jet
American Eagle
Also, any accurate numbers on the CRJ fleet that is currently stored, or where I could find out this information.
thanks all,
CRJ 900

What does that make the price of a used 145 these days?

ExpressJet took delivery of the last jet in their original 274 jet order this month. No plans on parking any but by the end of this year we have to find a new home for 69 of those jets as CO is looking for another airline to feed them for 25% of their “regional” flying”. If nothing can be found for those jets then perhaps they’ll be parked.

There are currently 112 CRJs in storage according to my info, with one of them due for scrapping.
There are 13 ERJs in storage, mainly ex Rio-Sul ones being converted for use with the Brazilian Air Force in Porto Alegre.
