Having had a sort out, can anyone identify what these items (mostly parachute type parts) are and/or what they were used for? In the case of the footage indicator it is not a type I have seen before.
Thanks,
Jon

The tin and chute is from a US WW2 20lb AN M40 /41 (from memory) Fragmentation bomb – it screws into the rear of the bomb casing turning it into a parafrag.

The Type 44 Indicator, often attached to a hand controlled Vickers gun by a Type 31 Adaptor, for training purposes.
In this configuration, the gun cannot be fired and has no magazine, the gun trigger operating the camera instead.

Parachute Flares
the two photos with the shorter strings look very similar to one I have. Mine is a parachute flare fired from a hand held cylinder, used to illuminate the battlefield during night ops.
The black metal disc is the remains of the flare itself…………..Digger
