Any news on the a/c that was in trouble over the west coast of Scotland 31/12/04

I caught a news snippet on New Years eve saying an aircraft was losing fuel and having icing problems somewhere between the west coast of Scotland and Ireland. A Nimrod was being sent up to assist, but I’ve heard nothing since, have any of you got an update?

I doubt it was a single engine a/c, due to the weather being really bad, possibly the Loganair SAAB or the Clasair EMB???

More like brain of solid wood, or very pressing alimony claims 🙂

A single engine cirrus – over the pond, what a very lucky guy!

He must have nerves of steel.

It was a single-engined Cirrus on a ferry flight from the US.

Landed safe at Shannon.
