Has anything happened to the Trident 3B at Heathrow or is its future still uncertain? Checked http://www.hs121.org.uk but it hadn’t been updated for ages…

We will be selling one of the engines, sadly they will never run again. ref wing tips we could not get ZXs as Gatwick BAA would not allow us to use petrol angle grinders so the whole aircraft and the comet got munched, damn shame as i was going to save the nose section!!

That reminds me, I haven’t chipped in my bit to the kitty yet ! 😮
Another question, will the wings be restored to full length? i.e. Did you keep the clipped bits ?

The photos reminded me what an odd undercarriage layout was fitted on the Trident; still a great a/c though.

No, I meant the engines! I believe that you are selling the centre one or is that not the case now?
Is there a possibility that you may run the engines?
It would be great to hear those speys again!

ZK was in landor up till 3 years ago when we managed to get BA to agree to paint her into BEA livery, the wings were clipped in 1992.

It’s a pity she will never be ground run again. She looks good enough to.

She is in excellent condition. Almost a shame to have to dismantle her to get to MAN. Good luck with the move.

Last time I was at LHR it was still sat at LHR but had been moved around a bit due to all the building work. I think fundraising is still the key issue though?
