Any of you chaps know who to contact regarding veteran invitations to DX FL 2010?

I think I have a very interesting veteran for them to invite. As many of them are getting older and more fragile each year, this one is in good shape and could be worth a try. His service record in WW2 is outstanding as well.

Thanks for the help. I saw the website earlier but they have no e-mail for these enquiries it seems.

I don’t want to give out his name or his nationality as he knows nothing of this at all, but he served in England from 41 to the end of the war. He flew Hurricanes attacking shipping (I think he once mistook a French airfield for a British one and almost landed there…or landed and took off again). Then he flew Spitfire IIa’s, V’s and IX’s. Wounded during the Dieppe raid, but back on missions quite shortly after it. He became squadron leader before going on rest in early 43. Back in service, he joined 2nd TAF into Europe. A real character.

May be worth contacting the Fighter Collection at Duxford, if they cant help you I’m sure they could point you in the right direction.

😮 If the CAA continue to ground stuff your veteran friend may be the only thing to see at Legends in 2010 😮
Can’t you give us a few more details about your friend ,he sounds very interesting and it may unearth a few more interesting lines as well.:)

Sounds more like a Ford Anglia than an actual person.!

Didn’t Stephen Gray use some of same words? 😀
