Any surviving … Vickers Wellesly or even HP Heyford?

Hi,

I guess the answer of my question will be “no”, but I´m desperately trying to find pictures of the interior or maybe a cutaway.

If you want interior info, try the RAF Museum (a personal visit…) or contact the IWM photo department. IIRC, Scale Models Magazine did substantial features on both these a/c in the wake of the Matchbox 1/72 scale kits back in the early 80s. I think they had pics of the Heyford interior. A try on a model forum might throw something up.

There are some substantial crash remains of a Heyford still on the crashsite in one the UK’s high grounds. It’s in one of the books dealing with high ground wrecks.

Hi Starfire, from what i have heard neither type exist now, unless you count a heyford that was buried beneath a runway at (iirc) upper hayford. i’ll have a looksee on the net for interior pics for you but i think the RAF Museum will be your best bet for interior pics of these
