I was recently offered this spade grip, said to be from an early Spitfire with Battle of Britain history (aren’t they all?). Not convinced: wrong gun button and it has a camera button that I think is later than 1940?
Any thoughts on what aircraft type this might be off? Later model Spitfire?

just the gun button alone would put me off! If im correct in thinking the spitfires in 1940 had a brass ring that you twisted for fire and safe
