Elvington is unlicensed, has insufficiant fire cover and no loading/offloading facilities.

I’m sure they could but a question has to be asked:
If they struggled to get the horse pallet off the a/c using the hi-loaders at LBA I suspect there would be an absence of this equipment at Elvington
But i could be wrong

Pity they couldn’t use Elvington with its 10,000 ft runway. Only 5 miles from the racecourse!

All these rear visiting aircraft to LBA are related to the biggest horseing race meeting in this part of the country. Currently York Racing corse is holding its annual Ebor meet this week.
So far this week LBA has seen the following Aircraft.
Sunday
PT-SFC – Embrear Legacy
Monday
OO-DPJ – Boeing 757-Freighter – DHL Airlines
OO-FPA – Citation 65X –
Tuesday
YL-KSB – AN72 – KS Avia
G-EJEL- Cessna 550
G-DAEX- Falcon 900EX – Triair (Bermuda) Ltd
G-LGKO – Challenger 600-2B16 – TAG Aviation (UK) Ltd

Its actually departing on 32 -as it was empty it was airborne by the intersection of the old runway 28/10
