Heard a snippet on the radio the other day about one of Conrad Kallita’s 747’s loosing an engine in flight somewhere over the US, but can’t find anything in the newspapers or television news about it, anybody know anything about it

Sounds bad that! Would be a little unusual seeing an engine flying in the air on it’s own! hehe
It’s only funny if it lands on someone else’s house.
Thank God it fell in the lake instead.

Wasn’t that one of the last 747-100’s flying?
I think Evergreen still send the odd one through PIK, as evidenced in one of Kaplan Dig’s recent pictures.

The damage was very severe, and the plane has been written off.

Very nicely put! Do you moderate movie forums in your spare time? 😀
If there’s one thing worse than a plane geek, it’s a movie geek ! 😀

“Donnie Darko”, a somewhat surreal “teen cerebral” movie including a fairly central scene where an engine falls off a passing jet into aforementioned chap’s bedroom. Mr Darko is too busy seeing visions of the apocalypse being told to him by a giant rabbit to notice apparently? Soundtrack includes Gary Jules version of Tears For Fears classic “Mad World” a recent UK No.1 hit
Confused…? you will be!
