Just wondered if anyone recognises this description of what looked like a WW II fighter I saw West of Aylesbury heading south-east this afternoon.
It looked similar to an Me109 but the paint scheme was quite unusual with gold/yellow spots all over a dark blue/green background, and with a yellow band around the rear fuselage.
Not much to go on I know. Could be Wycombe based?

Fiat G46 almost certainly. Nice machine, up for sale not long ago for only £50K. Powered by a Gypsy Queen, I think, same as a Rapide.

Me 108 Taifun? I think there’s one in a desert type scheme. MOTF should be able to tell us he had a flight in it last year.
