Anyone flew Germanwings?

Hi there. Booked my Gatwick-Cologne flight last week for £39 pounds, and i’m wondering, has anyone flew with them. If so, how are they?? Will be a change for me to fly with a different loco, instead of EZY.

Got mine for £2, yes £2, including all taxes etc when Germanwings had a 24hour sale on not long after they started up. To be honest, I would have paid double this, they were really good!!!:D 🙂 😉 :p

I think it is both the A319 and the A320.

Germanwings is part of LH, aren’t they? What aircraft do they operate?

Planning on trying them sometime soon. There seems to be a few £29 return fares lurking around on the website! 😀

Looks like we have a common hobby bmi-star! I flew with Germanwings last year in February from STN on the A319 and we spent the day in Cologne. A beautiful German city with a fantastic cathedral (Dom) and a nice setting on the river Rhine. I found Germanwings to be an excellent airline with a slightly different lo-co feel to them. I can’t explain why I felt this – it just felt slightly classier than the typical lo-co. Have fun in Cologne! Buy lots of chocolate from the chocolate factory across the river – it’s heavenly!!
