Anyone guess Australian Airlines newest destination?

QF is not dumping the route, it is one of the most profitable routes QF has, there are no plans to dump it
check with seatmap.com at the loads, reason why QF will never dump it is because of the Business class traffic and premium passengers.
i dont know where you get your info from, its not industry sources but i can tell you AO will not be replacing QF on the FRA route.
do not know the source of flying to Europe however the fifth aircraft usage has allready being taken up by the introduction of the extra flight to Bali, Sabah and resumption of services to Hong Kong whilst other services will be heading to Japan with the Fukuoka and Osaka flights being operated by separate services.
next year AO will start to serve phuket, China and KL.
QF germany gets about 30% of its business from premium pax, AO is a 1 class, 1 model airline.

QF is dumping the route silly, i know the reason why AO was set up, im mean im not stupid to think that AO would compete with QF when QF own the airline!!!

steve, your answer is correct, kota kinabalu is the new destination, op via sin
By: monster500 - 2nd October 2003 at 05:34
this information is incorrect!
australian airlines has no plans to fly to frankfurt as stated in airliner world magazine.
dartie, where did you hear or get this info?
the 767s have been asigned to new asian routes, europe is not on the list at all, the 767 fleet that QF/AO has was designed for doing routes in the pacific and asia area, they wont have the range to even get to fra from anywhere in asia.
ao was setup not to compete with qf routes, qf wont be pulling out of fra to be substituted by a all Y class airline.
you need to check facts before posting this nonsense.
