Anyone have a copy of A.P. 2337?

As per title, does anyone have a copy of “A.P. 2337 Vol. 1 Wheels, Tyres and brake systems” or can advise where I can get a copy?

I’m trying to identify Dunlop components of a pneumatic system based on some illustrations/photos and the only lead I have is that it says to refer to the above tome.

I’m not in the UK and I don’t think there are many AP 2337’s in Sweden. 😀

What aircraft are you seeking to represent by it’s pneumatics?

Edgar,

Here’s the kicker – I found it at the TNA when I was there last month but as usual I ran out of time because the other “small” AP I was photographing ran to nearly 1200 pages by the time I’d got all the amendment lists. 🙁 Unfortunately it looks like I won’t likely make a return to the TNA for another 3-4 years :(.

Dave,

I didn’t think it would list by type and my guess at the moment is that these are all Dunlop units. The problem is I don’t know the part numbers – that’s what I need to find out. All I have is a fairly generic pneumatic circuit diagram with representations of the units by approximate shape, role and position in the circuit. The diagram says that details of each unit is in AP 2337 hence trying to identify them.

Ultimately I need to assist with putting all this in a static display so it doesn’t have to work so dummy units (damaged, repros) would do the job I just need to know the correct parts.

Quick example – I to identify a reduction valve unit with a single input, single output which accepts 200lbs psi in and reduces to 80lbs psi out. From the diagram it looks like a tallish vertical cylinder with a box unit on top for the connectors.

This is going to be a challenge. 🙂

Hi there,

I’ve just had a quick look at my copy of AP2337 Vol1, and although there is lots of information there no wheels or brake units are referred to by aircraft type. They are all listed by part number.

What are the p/ns of the items you are trying to identify? If you let me know I can have a quick look for you.

If you PM me your address I can send a copy to you, but not sure how much specific information you’ll glean from it.

Not too much help I’m afraid.

Regards

Dave

Not much help to you, but there’s a copy in the National Archives; if you know someone who can attend, it’s always possible to photograph relevant (or all of them, if it doesn’t run to several hundred ) pages.
