I just ordered a used copy of this book but I am wondering if anyone has a copy on hand. I am currently ordering some copies of ADC reports from the RCAF’S Eastern Air Command (EAC) sector that are held in the National Archives in Ottawa.
I am hoping for find a report that a local Forest Ranger near Bagotville filed with ADC Rimouski and who could have been the last person to see Hurricane 5624 (a/c No. 20) & F/Sgt Ken Green before they both went missing on May 12, 1943. This crucial piece of evidence was never entered into the Court of Inquiry that EAC/FAIO carried out just days after his disappearance. The family and I are now trying to find a copy of this “sighting report” and hope to find some more clues about this eye-witness report of seeing this aircraft nearly 75miles away from the station. These ADC reports are still suject to an FOI request through the Library and Archives of Canada!
I understand that the Province of Quebec was divided into sectors and Rimouski was the “Filter Station” where most of the provinces’ aircraft sightings form ADC volunteers went. Does anyone with access to this book know if Allan Coggon, the author, included any maps in this book?
Sadly he passed away shortly after this book was written and I never got a chance to speak with him about his research involved in writing this book.
Can anyone help?
