Always like to see new A-2 or B-3 jackets painted up with Nose Art….fantastic art form of WW II. Any new jackets out there ready to be shown?
Nose art photos as well on WWII aircraft. BlueNoser is well partial to the nose art of the 352nd Fighter Group that flew out of Bodney. But also the fantastic nose art on A-2 jackets of the 401st Bomb Group… thanks and hope all you are doing fine these days in the greater FLYPAST community !
Like many places were are freezing and snowed under here in the colonies !!! Have a good weekend folks !

“The Mary-Alice ” 401st BG B-17 Nose art !
Back in the 1980’s after seeing a copy of Roger Freeman’s marvelous book “B-17 At War”if my memory serves me correctly. I saw the fine picture of Dan Knight the pilot of the ” Mary-Alice “! I visited him at his home and we compared jackets …a real honor to meet him and have this jacket to wear as a tribute to him and his crew. He named the plane after his mother….. all these jackets if they could talk …would have some stories to tell ! If you wear one as I have seen many do in the UK and in particular at Duxford. Thanks for keeping the memory of these men and what they did alive !!!
Least We Forget !

My personal favorite from the 401st BG !
Love the fine detail from the B-17 crew of the 401st BG based at Deenethorpe …. Triangle S !!! Back in the 1980’s located most of the crew and enjoyed researching their aircraft and missions. The 401st hand some talented artist on its base for sure !!! Lets see some of your jackets you might have in your collection !
