Keen to obtain a de Havilland Heron spinner and backing plate for a restoration. Anyone know of any that may be available? Thanks

No, this is a UK based project, although it will be moving to France with her owner.

Would this the Fiat G.46 under restoration?: Link.

Spinner
Hi Stan, yes, certainly interested. Some are available in the UK, but they are for the later hydromatic unit, not the bracket propeller which is what we need. Shipping isn’t a problem. Thank you.

Queen 70 series in the Dove, Queen 32 (unsupercharged) in the Heron. (The Devon/Dove spinner fits the Piston Provost BTW)
Chippie, if you are still looking I can probably help, but freighting can be a bit expensive from the Antipodies.

They use a different Mk of Gips Queen and the Dove has three bladed props whereas the Heron is two.

Just curious. Which G46 is this? I thought there were only three survivors – one in Argentina and two in the US. So which one is this or is it surviving bits being rebuilt?

Not really Ron, it’s for a Fiat G.46. We have all the other cowling etc (for the Fiat).

Chippie
You are doing very well. I need cowls, props and spinners times four! Mine is Lycoming. Is yours Gipsy or Lycoming?
