Hi all
I have just had a call from a good friend who is involved with the Merlin Club at Hucknall, Notts.
He has asked me to enquire if anyone would be interested in showing a cockpit at an open day at Hucknall on June 7th this year. They are not after a mass of cockpits, but a few would be welcome. There is also the possibility of leaving a cockpit locked securly in a hangat to be collected and moved to Newark for Cockpitfest two weeks later.

This is likly to be the last such open day at historic Hucknall due to the site being built on.

Just want to bump this to ask if anyone else wants to come along, I know its short notice, but if you are interested please get in touch.
We would also be interested in any other aviation related displays, so please think about it.

Sorry I cannot come Ritch. We get lots of requests – each requires van rental. So have to be selective. When I retire, I fancy doing a round UK with a cockpit.

We intend taking our Chipmunk cockpit along, and I am told they will welcome anyone else who want’s to have a pre cockpitfest outing.

Hi
I am told there is building work started although I have not been up there for a long time myself. My contact told me that they thought last year would be the last open day, but they have got the event going again this year. Thats all I know at the moment and am just canvasing interest from cockpit owners.

Sadly I don’t have anything to display but would love to come to the event!
So is airfield definitely being built on?
