Anyone know of a mk 5 tempest in uk

does anyone know if there is a mk 5 tempest in the uk apart from the one at hendon as i need to see one for reference i am currently building some wings for a tempest and need some vital measurements any help would be great.

Nice to see steady progress. Interesting that reference is made to the CAA granting a licence. I would have thought it would be the FAA who would grant it an experimental licence.

The Kermit Weeks Tempest V had only had its tail unit rebuilt as of the end of 2004. IIRC the fuselage is a Mk V but the wings are ex Indian Tempest II. There is a complete Napier Sabre that needs to be stripped and rebuilt and a spare that needs much more work.

The restoration effort appears to be focussed on the Mk 1 Spit at present.

How big are you making the wing? Does accurucy matter? If not i may be able to help you with a model plan.
