I’m curious to know if anyone feels sorry for Osama, you know given a bad name by the press…

RE: Anyone like osama?

That is exactly the problem.

No one knows where he is or how to get him. So they’ll go and bomb somewhere anyway, because that’s easier…

RE: Anyone like osama?

Adolf Hitler was a direct threat, we knew where he was and we took him out.

Problem with Osama is he is insighting religious anger against us with people who are prepared (and quite frankly stupid) to do what he says.

He does not stand up to be counted, he does not pose an army against us, he has no values and no scruples. Very difficult to predict and fight against.

However our countries have themselves to blame for such people. We arm them, support them, fund them and when it all turns sour are suddenly surprised? I remember a picture of a hardened aircraft shelter proudly destroyed by the RAF (with great courage and loss), unfortunately those shelters were built with Allied hands and the aircraft they contained equally so

Well Statisticaly About 3rd of the Planet should adore him, a 3rd would be indiferent and a 3rd will want to join in EPLs “Gifts For Osama” program. Personaly id like to se him hang.. not for the 9/11, thats not a concear of mine, but for supporting, training and sending fanatical mujahedins into bosnia.. those bastards did some of the most horrible things ive herd of/seen .. but those caught did pay a heavy price..

SS you seem very knowledgeable on the subject matter. If you can old man, post Osamas location here. Just GPS coordinates will do. I want to send him a nice gift for the holidays thats all. It will arrive special delivery via air mail. I’ll be paying a lot for the mailing costs. It weighs about 2000lbs. }>

No I bloody well do not like the #####. I feel sorry for the victims of 11th September and the Bali bomb, not the pig ##### who orchestrated the attacks. I know that any Amnesty International loving do-gooders out there will be horrified by my views, but I don’t give a damn. May he and all his followers burn in eternal Hell, but then again, Hell is probably too good for them.

RE: Anyone like osama?

Mungo its nice to hear a fellow Brit standing up for justice. American justice is a mockery.

On September 12 2001 a list of 28 known Islamic groups was published, all with terroist intents towards the US. Just one was Al Quada. So if we slaughtered Bin Laden, supposing it wasnt him and the real killer commited another attrocity?

Also, Al Quada tend to train skilled guerillas, there is no way they would waste them on suicide bombings.

Typical AQ tactics are night attacks on US bases, or shipping. Usually done on foot.

Besides if he had done it, Bin would have boasted about it by now.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-11-02 AT 05:59 PM (GMT)]Yeah yeah ok ! point taken gentleman

Yes I know what Uncle Joe and Adolf were responsible for, and Bin Laden does have a long way to go to scratch the surface of their infamy.

All the man wants is for Western powers to accept Islam for what it is and to keep their noses out of their business, not much to ask for really is it?

But George dubbya dont wanna play ball so Osama has a tantrum and the rest , as they say, is history.

In answer to the original question:

I feel for the ordinary moslems, they just wanna get on with their lives their way, just like we do, unfortunately they’re now being brainwashed from an early age to believe that all western cultures are evil.

As for Mr Bin Laden, his skills in diplomatic negotiation leave a lot to be desired, no, I dont feel sorry for him , although, as we’ve already said, his crimes dont match that of Stalin and Hitler, he is just as guilty

RE: Anyone like osama?

What’s there not to like, he demolishes two of the most ugly buildings in New York.

On a serious note, I’ve never met the man so I can’t judge weather I like the man or not. But he’s ideas are, to say the least, a bit extreem. If it’s true what America has said about him then he won’t be on my invitation list to my birthday.

regards,

JW

ps to compare someone to Adolf Hitler and Josif Stalin is going abit too far. If you argue that someone is comparible to especially Hitler then you have to compare everything. If everything is true, Bin Ladin isn’t out to kill every American on the face of the earth he just wants to reach an (extreem) target and that is to get ride off all western influence in Saudi Arebia. Just be very carefull with those comparisments.

Aw come on dcfly, he is nowhere near the likes of those two individuals. You are suggesting that 11/9 is comparable to the Holocause or the putsch, which it is not.

RE: Anyone like osama?

I am still unsure, I mean he has not been tried in court yet.

I know his whereabouts are unknown, but he could conceivably be tried in his absence.

Bland assurances from the Americans that he’s guilty are just not good enough.

I reckon he IS guilty, but I am deeply uneasy (being a Brit) with just accepting this without a trial and the wheels of justice doing their bit.

RE: Anyone like osama?

firstly it is Usama, Secondly i dont like him one bit, he scares the ##### out of me, my family and the industry i work in, thirdly, I can see his point of view, but i dont agree with his methods in trying to resolve certain world issues. There is alot of injustice out there, he is mearly exploiting it and using it as a tool to kill innocent people, Certain world issues need to be more fairly dealt with in a less bias manner for terrible acts of terror to become less prevelant in our society.

He has been praising all the attacks being made worldwide and thats enough to dislike a person like that. Osama is not a modern problem…he has been casuing problems to the USA for a long time, and after Sept. 11 which was rightly described as attack on democracy, i dont think a major power like USA could take a attack like that on there home turf……so the way they are acting is justified. Of course till Afghanistan it was ok…..but after that….Bush has made a mockery out of democracy.
