Anyone That Uses Jetphotos.net Regularly..?

Well, I’ve been trying to sign up to the jp.net forums for months now so that I can ask for help/advice on uploads, but carry on getting greeted by ‘Registration has been disabled by the administrator’. I noticed a thread on the forums yesterday saying how new members would only be able to sign up as an Elite member, and so today I tried signing up for a month membership. However, it still wont let me.

So I’m gonna have to ask for the opinions of jp.net uploaders on here instead. I’ve got these shots, and I’m not sure if they’d be rejected for ‘bad double’. What do you think?

http://www.jetphotos.net/viewqueued.php?id=661692 and http://www.jetphotos.net/viewqueued.php?id=662221

http://www.jetphotos.net/viewqueued.php?id=661696 and http://www.jetphotos.net/viewqueued.php?id=662871

If they are likely to be rejected, then I’ll look to remove one or two from the queue before they’re screened.

Due to people ‘abusing the system’ they are only allowing people to register for the forums from now onwards if they purchase an Elite membership. Anyone already registered will not have to pay.

Seems fair…

I am able to be on the JP.net forums but i am not an elite member. You should be able to log on with your log-in name to access your members section

Don’t worry about bad double for those two. The photos are completely different. Sure they may both show the same plane, but that’s where the similarities end.

It is not possible to upload more than 2 photos of the same registration at any one time. This alone should be a clear indication that uploading two photos of the same plane is not a problem. As long as the photos are different.

Bad double is for photos that look alike. If you shoot two perfect side-ons from BA A319s at LHR and upload them both chances are one of them will be rejected. THose two WOULD be alike and therefore elligble for bad double.

Peter, I am approved by the admin to upload as large 1600 pixels for any photos. You cannot upload at larger than 1024 pixels unless you’re approved (if you want to be approved, you’ll find it on the add photos page. I’m sure you’ll be allowed). I’ve already asked for the first one of AP-BAT to be pulled from the queue, I’ll try my luck with the second one.

I just wasn’t sure if either of the Air China would be rejected because there’s 2 shots of the same reg, at the same place and almost same time.

My guess:

Both PIAs will be rejected for:
PIA 1) Bad crop. Either include the #4 engine complete, or crop the entire wing of. Also, oversharpened. Wedgies appear on straigth lines (PIA logo, doorstyle etc)
PIA 2) Unsharp. Also it is too large. JP won’t accept photos larger then 1024×768 unless it is a rare or very very very good photo. The little prop plane in the foreground may be consider clutter.

Both China Cargos will be accepted because… well.. they are great!

As for the forums. I do not believe you need to have a 1st class membership. Free accounts should still be available????

RobAnt, the shots are just URL’s linking to where they are in the screening queue at Jetphotos.net. I’m not trying to host them.

Webbie – there appears to be Pop-ups associated with these links.

Wannabee – please take note, I don’t think this is deliberate, it is just that the host you are using exacts a price for hosting pictures.

If you want, you can post your pictures here directly by using the “Manage Attachments” tool.
