Anyone tried LBA-LCY yet?

I have just booked to go LBA-LCY on Wednesday with bmi. What can I expect in terms of service? How are the loads, the flight only cost £40, not bad for two days notice. What seats give the best views on the ATR42 and is there a preferred side to be sat on for views coming into LCY? This is my first time to LCY, anything I should know about before I get there?

Also, is it possible to assign my own seat in advance like you can do on bmi baby? I have looked on the confirmation email but it is giving nothing away!

Thanks in advance for any help.

You can’t pre-assign seats on bmi mainline or regional unless your in Business unfortunately. Pre-historic I know, but thats their system for you!

I’d agree, go for anything at the back or the front. Does anyone remember CityFlyer Express ATR’s? They had Club Europe at the back so that the premium passengers could disembark first, felt very strange being in Business at the back! Wonder if bmi are doing the same?

Apparantly the loads arent brilliant on this route ATM, but are steadily increasing, I think bmi need to market the route more. £40 at two days notice? That is very reasonable indeed.

Not flown the route before, but have been in an ATR. The best seats IMHO are the ones right at the back, as they give you an unobscured view, and the shortest walk! Failing that the ones right at the front should give a clear view past the engine, but there you get a longer walk.
