The AAIB’s April Bulletin has just been published,including a report on the forced landing of P51 G-BIXL “Miss Helen” near Hungerford in July of last year. There are also reports on a serious Chipmunk accident and an incident involving an L39 Albatros.

Once the problem developed, sounds like an impressive peice of flying from the pilot…..like the praise for his handling of the situation by the AAIB. Well done that driver!

Interesting stuff, and always useful to be reminded that even the experienced guys make mistakes sometimes. Some lessons there that we can all learn from.
