Here’s a few recent movements at Southend. Nothing spectacular unfortunately but still something of interest hopefully…
First the last Brussels Airlines Boeing departing to Woensdrecht for painting – so a very last chance to catch a 737 in the Brussels livery. It was an early morning departure, so the light was good too.
Turning around at the end of the Runway 06…

And departing…

Another ex easyJet A319 for Sky Airline of Chile, returning from a compass swing with some bits missing from the engine…

An tech aircraft resulted in the 100th easyJEt Airbus G0EZBR being based at Southend.

Meanwhile Aer Arann ATR72s have been making more regular appearances on the DUblin route. The first new ATR72-600 EI-FAS is being delivered next week.

A Jet2 757 arriving Runway 06 for maintenance:

And something a bit smarter, regular BBJ VP-BBW arriving from Moscow:

Another ex Austrain 737 for Jet2, making an impressive full power departure from Runway 24 on delivery to Manchester:

And an older Jet2 Boeing (27 years old!) arriving from Macnhester also for maintenance:

Some excellent light and a waving pilot produced a nice photo of EI-BYO:

And a freshly painted COndor A320 departing also to Manchester. Unusually with faint Berlin titles above the Condor ones.

As always I hope these are of interest…

Thanks for all of your comments. Very fortunate at Southend with photo spots – some are incredibly close to the action.

Nice. I like the type of compositions you can get there such as the Jet2 757 shot and the last Condor shot. Excellent.
