AR213 in "Battle of Britain" movie

Anyone have a copy of a picture showing Spitfire 1A AR213 in her “Battle of Britain” movie colours? I’d attempt to scan one in from the Robert Rudhall book, but someone at work has BOTH my books! 🙁

Thanks for posting the photos Tom.

I believe AR213 is now owned by Sherringham Aviation Ltd, don’t know who is behind this company.

Cheeky monkey:p Here’s a shot from a month or so ago, the firewall’s currently being restored, a major job in itself :-O The biggest hurdles have been trying to source a windscreen and propeller but we hope to have overcome those snags now.

Oh, that’s a pic of AR213 before they really started pulling the fuselage apart.

Damn, that’s a pity about the markings. I thought the owners (the late Victor Gauntlett etc) had decided on the stripy nose?

Having said that, I love seeing her in the 609 Sqdn markings.

Have just found this pic of AR213’s fuselage. And I’ve STILL never seen her fly!

AR213 is certainly in bits. I’ve seen a few recent photos, and very heavily stripped would be one way to put it.

Yes, it is going to be as close to stock as possible, but I think the markings are still under consideration.

I “think” she’s undergoing what’s more like a restoration – I think the owners want to restore her to full wartime condition, complete with the stripy nose she wore in her 57 OTU days.

Something like the attached.

Where is AR213 these days? I assume she is under maintainance as I have not seen her for a long time.

Daz,
Just one of 40 shots I have AR213 in the BoB film livery. Now if you want to make that a crate!
