Arado trawled up in Greece

hi,
from the photo,s it look,s in very good condition,would this be because of any preventative treatment done as it would have being operated in a seawater environment?.

I realise its a trawler catch but its survived all these years to be unceremoniously dumped on the shore with no attempt at preservation to dissapear into a cloud of white dust, one hopes someone at the HAF has the foresight to get it under water now it has been found and attempt to stabilise it for preservation.

A good month with ruler and paper and a good design study for patterning I would think.Nice find…Any history with it?
