Archive Aviation Recordings On the Web

Dear Forum readers,

Just a note to advise you that there are now some new recordings to listen too on the Lost and Found Aviation Sounds website
(http://www.one-voice.co.uk/lafas/).

Following the article in Flypast earlier this year, a former BBC radio producer contacted me and said he had some interesting material I might like to use. This is now beginning to trickle onto the website, and this month we have part 1 of an interview with Lettice Curtis, former ATA pilot. There’s also a contrasting piece in the shape of a documentary from American about the WASP (Women’s Airforce Service Pilots) off the USAAF.

In “the wings” we have a very rare recording of an actual wartime bomber briefing and interviews with some of the “the Few”, some well known, some not. Next month we’ll have part two of the Lettice Curtis interview.

Regards,

RadioChris

I recall reading somewhere that Guy Gibson made a radio programme for the BBC.

I wonder if this still exists. If it did it would be an excellent addition to your site!
