Are FlyPast and Aeroplane Monthly Magazines Still Publishing?

I am just wondering, in the current lockdown situation that the world is under, are either Flypast or Aeroplane Monthly magazines still being edited and produced at the moment and will they still be releasing as usual, since the bookshops around the world are all shut? If they are still in action and the team is still working, who would I send a potential article to for consideration, please? Thanks.

Key Aero pinned a Service Updates thread at the top of the historic page a couple of days ago saying production at the time was unaffected. Presumably this will be kept up-to-date. The link in that thread gives info on deliveries worldwide and how they are affected.

I remember chatting to one of the Eds about this – basically if you release them at the same time you get broadly the same news, but more importantly from a publishing POV, if your customer has a fiver in their pocket they have to choose between one or the other not both, hence splitting the publishing date makes complete sense 🙂

Hi All,

I should imagine with all this CV going on it will be just the main media publishing the daily’s ?  If either Aeroplane or Flypast are also printed by the media outlets they should continue,  as I similarly imagine all the main articles will be set a couple of, if not a few months in advance ?

Having said this they still have the online content, I just hope if they have halted publication when they do start again they sell them together again.

A personal bug-bear of mine is the decision to split publication two weeks apart as at the moment you get one with the last months news and the other a couple of weeks later with new that the other magazine will repeatedly publish at the end of the month.

Am I possibly being to picky because I don’t like my routines changing ?

Geoff.

I’d try submitting a synopsis of the article to one of the Flypast and/or Aeroplane editorial team (see https://flypast.keypublishing.com/contact-us/ and https://aeroplanemonthly.keypublishing.com/contact-us/).

Thanks for the feedback. Now I just have to work out who to submit the article to.

I’ve been seeing a lot of advertising on Facebook for the newest FlyPast in recent days, for what it’s worth.

Well if it’s anything to go by, the latest edition of FlyPast arrived through the post the other day so I would presume they are. Try emailing them to make sure?
