Are ther any Mu-2 pilots here?

I love this plane and was reading the article in one of the aviation mags that I get and thought about the problems that they had down here a while ago, I remember back in the mid to late 80’s that all MU-2’s were gounded in Australia due to some problem with avionics and them becoming unstable in medium level cross winds.

Have any of you had similar experiences with this plane and if so, what was done to correct the problem?

Never flown one but they had a terrible reputation for a while as pilots failed to understand the handling on an aeroplane with no ailerons (I believe it just has roll spoilers). Someone (either Mitsubishi themselves or Flight Safety were running type conversion courses a while ago which insurance companies were demanding pilots attend before providing cover.
