Okay, in the fifties Argentina attempted to produce its own fighter aircraft and came up with a copy of the MiG-15. That is literally all I know on the subject (sorry 🙂 ). Do any of you guys know anything else regarding this project? Who was the manufacturer? Did it enter service? How long did it serve? Where is my egg and chips???:D
Any help would be useful.

The IAe 33 Pulqui II only reached the prototype stage, with four prototypes and a static test article completed.
Although Kurt Tank used the Ta 183 as the basis for the Pulqui II, the latter aircraft used a Rolls-Royce Nene and had a fuselage with a bigger cross-section, and thus it was designed to travel close to the sound barrier (like the MiG-15).

Do a search on Google and look for Pulqui. There were two models, the Pulqui II is what you’re after, designed by Kurt Tank of Fw190 fame, and based on his late war Ta183 Huckebein project.
