Thanks Ettrick, I heard this last night. I will be doing a write up shortly on the info I have.

Having informed various Association members, I have been asked if I have contact details for any family members (I don’t) as they wish to express their sympathy, offer the use of the squadron flag and perhaps send a representative to the funeral. If anyone can help on that it would be much appreciated.

From BAHA:

“Former wartime Typhoon pilot of 609 Squadron, Armand Crekillie has
passed away aged 84. After the war “Crick” also served in 349 Squadron and
became CO of N° 2 Squadron/ 2Wing at Florennes in 1951. In October 1958 he
became base commander of Florennes and retired in November 1979 looking back on a brilliant career having reached the grade of Lieutenant-General in the function of Chief of General Staff of the Belgian Armed Forces.”

This is sad news. I wish you clear skies Sir.,
