There was lots of publicity about Armed Forces Day where I live, mainly owing to the fact that the Lancaster was expected. That proved to be a big disappointment for lots of people who came here specially to see the Lanc when it didn’t show up. I had hoped to get a video of it with my new camcorder, will have to wait and see where it is to display next in North Yorkshire so I can go and see it.

I’ve heard that Cameron is in attendance, wonderfully hypocritical considering what devastation his coalition has wrecked on our Armed Forces.

Well, the fact that I didn’t even know it was Armed Forces Day says a lot about how well publicised this day is! :rolleyes:
I regard myself as pretty well informed, I have a keen interest in all things military and Britain is currently involved in two armed conflicts in the world and yet reading this thread is the first I’ve heard about it.
