Armore Air Show 2003 pictures

Here are a few photos from Ardmore last year. Sadly my mate and I got there late, and had to leave early as we were both working that evening, but we did see a few awesome displays including the Seasprite, Hercules and the lovely La-9.

We only had about an hour to absorb as much as we could so I’m sketchy on some details of what’s actually in the photos.

Here’s one of the P40’s being restored by Pioneer then. Not sure which one.

Thanks Dave.

And yes, that Tiger Moth is beautifull! It is a very nice example of this type. It is currently up for sale at pioneer aero in NZ! If I only could…..

Dont you just love this?

You’re quite right Arm Waver, it is a Cadet I believe, I always get them mixed up. Oops. And not annoying at all. 😉

Talk about an anorak!

Dave
I think the Avro is a Cadet and not a Tutor. Looks thinner and smoother fuselage and I think you can just start to make out the CAD of cadet on the badge about mid fuselage.
Sorry if I’m annoying!

Dave
Is the PT-22 the real “853”?
I only ask as we have 854 over here G-BTBH and the owners are members of the VAC and the sound of the Kinner Radial in the circuit is sooooo nice.

EDIT: – Just checked the NZ register – well you seem to be able to find anything on the web – and it has Serial No of 2062 and “ours” is 2063 so they would appear to be..

Cheers for the correction Daz, purely a typo that one.

Here’s one of the Ryans. Motat’s one was there too looking as lovely, but I can’t have photographed it 🙁

The Heavies. I wish they’d put a nose turret on the Cat, it looks so od without it.

A Spitfire rebuild. I think this was Sir Tim Wallis’s old one, NH977 isn’t it? What stage is this at now I wonder.
