armour plate from Halifax or Lancaster??

Hi,

Found this steel armour plate on my searches which was lying straight up into the ground. I found this part on a crashsite where a Lancaster and a Halifax collide in midair. Any thoughts????

I would almost lean toward’s it being from a Halifax. I thought maybe it was from the lower engine cowling on a Lanc as well but not the same shape…. Where is our resident Hali expert these days??? 😉

Nope. Found where a Lancaster and Halifax collide in midair in 1943. Other parts of both a Lancaster and a Halifax lying arround but in a wide spreaded wooded area. Thought I have seen this armour plate before somewhere on this forum.
