Armstrong Siddeley Cheetah archive

Dear all

Does anyone know if much information on the manufacture of AS Cheetah engines survives? I have an engine plate from a crashed Cheetah IX – the the makers number is AS16216 and the engines Air Ministry serial is A133382.

Is there any hope of getting more information? I went through some of the Anson accident cards at the RAFM previously – many of the records do not record engine numbers but some do and suggest the aircrafts serial would be in the ‘Nxxxx’ range.
