Army Wings (army air observation) by Jackson

I was wondering if any members have this book, and if they might be able to do me a big favour. I was wondering if they could have a look and see if there
is any mention of Eric Denzil JOYCE.

He had been in the RA from 1920 and in 1936 he was seconded into the RAF. He was with 53 Squadron for a number of years and went to France with them (he was the commander of ‘B’ Flight) however on the 20th October 1939
he noted in his log book that he was posted to 52 Wing to take charge of ALG Vitry – en – Artois (I assume a landing ground).

After carrying out a little more research on the log it seems he went on to
be one of the founder members of the Air Observation Post Squadrons. His
log mentions he joined the Experimental FOP with Bazeley on the 5/2/40, and
was with them until 17/10/40 flying from Old Sarum, Arras, Sommesous, and
Larkhill.

He seems to have had a month at the Central flying School (18/9/40 – 19/10/40) before re-joining the Observation unit, which he now notes as D Flight at Larkhill, on the 10/10/40, and he remains with them until he moves to 651 Squadron on the 1/8/41. He later commanded (as far as I can tell)
651 Squadron – 1/8/41 – 4/9/41
231 Squadron – 4/9/41 – 28/10/42

I was wondering if he might be mentioned in the book, as if he is I would like to try and buy a copy.

Any help would be great,

Johnnie
