Very sad news .Thoughts go to his friends and family.
He always seemed a likeable and professional man on Ice Pilots.
The difference in appearance from the first series to the last when he popped in to Buffalo while recovering from treatment was a real shock.

A true aviator, in the finest tradition.

He had no ego, he was just a bloody nice bloke, and a fantastic pilot. Such a bloody shame..

I was struggling for words, but you chose them for me, thank you….

And the Dam-Busters programme, where Dr Hugh Hunt built and tested scale Upkeep weapons, with Arnie dropping them from a DC-4.

Very sad news that he has lost his year-long battle with the big C.

I fear most of us who only knew him via the TV saw just a fraction of his true abilities as a pilot – and as a hugely respected man.

Blue Skies….
