Art Scholl

I was just watching “Top Gun” with my girlfriend earlier today (who’d NEVER seen it before!!), and at the end of the credits there was something like:

“Dedicated to the memory of Art Scholl”

I know he was an aerial cameraman, but what happened to him?

Well, I had a read about him – seemed like a helluva guy! Pity he had to be taken from us in such an unusual fashion.

I gather he was never found?

He probably means that you are kidding that you don’t know who Art is….but it would be easy not to know, this was 18 years ago.

There’s a site about him. Aerobatic pilot who spun in while filming for top gun.
