Just stumbled across this old thread , Uncle Arthur as he was known to me , not an actual Uncle but very good friends with my Dad since the 50’s, both sadly now long gone.
I have one box of his stuff , with some photos and diaries , spotting books that kind of thing.
Will try and get some of it copied and post it somewhere , it’s interesting stuff.

I’ve seen some of his extensive collection of Douglas piston transport photos for sale at aero jumbles so it seems some at least ended up with a dealer.
