Aruba (AUA)

Hi Guys.

I would like to share with you some shots taken from a recent holiday in Aruba. Aruba is a small island 20 miles off the northern coast of Venezuela. Although it has been independant for almost a decade, it retains strong links with the Netherlands who used to rule it.

Applogies for the quality of some of these shots, but my little Canon isnt much cop above 3x optical zoom.

Enjoy.

When we tried to set off from Manchester the airport was closed due to snow.

The snow was not as bad but still present when we were boarding the 3-holer at Schiphol.

Have a close look at the engine cowlings on the SkyService A320. What is going on there?

Hi Bud,
Well considering you only have a small cannon, (unlike myself).
Some super shots, but not as good as some (you know what I’m talking about).
By the way have you managed to pick up that Avro yet.?? NO. oh dear.
All in all Excellent shots hope you had a great holiday, and I would also like a FULL report from Aruba….

Hi Phil, yes the Skyservice has spent many an hour sitting on the deck at Manchester awaiting its next set of MyTravel ‘bucket and spaders’.

I am attaching a shot from the otherside. The cowlings are a real mix of blue and orange.

I’m not 100% on this but I think the Skyservice aircraft is leased from MYT hence the rather odd colour scheme – likewise the Miami Air may well be an XLA 737-800 lease. Great shots and I hope you enjoyed a nice holiday 🙂
