Spare a thought for their families, please.

Very sad news indeed. And for the second time this year, an aircraft that I have photographed has been in a major accident.
Here she is in her beter days, bathing in the Sun at Blackpool airport.

My very best wishes to all those involved.

My condolensces to those who have lost loved ones & friends. Dreadful for this to happen, especially at this time of year.
Again proves how hazardous working offshore can be. ABZ had a huge number of heli movements yesterday, shuttling guys to/from the rigs – “Xmas rush”. No incidents here, yet this happens in Morecambe Bay, a relatively short hop from BLK compared to some N.Sea flights off ABZ. Terrible.
G-BLUN indeed, regularly seen from time to time at ABZ, is main news up here too.
Dauphin has an outstanding record, as has CHC Scotia, I think it may be the first incident like this in the UKCS to occur to this type.
Sad news.
