I cant see it causeing any harm the damn thing cant even fly good idea if you ask me some novel publicity instead of a bunch of school kids singing!!

This has to be the most pointless publicity stunt ever!
Maybe pointless to you, but I’m sure Asda had a motivation for doing it, in fact I know they did but that’s another story. Besides which, its still in Asda colours today and with Bruntingthorpe having a rolling thunder type open day today, its all advertising for Asda.

That is without doubt, the most disgusting, vile thing I’ve ever seen sprawled across a jumbo.

You both took the words right out of my mouth! 😀

This has to be the most pointless publicity stunt ever! and that certainly is the most hideous looking 747 I have ever seen! of course for me it is made even worse by the fact that I have had the misfortune of working for ASDA/Wal-mart during this summer break!! 🙁

interesting next it will be runways up on walmarts roofs so you can go on holiday as well as shop at the same time
Nah, rumour is that next the Super Guppy is going to be painted up in Tesco colours, so on one side of the airfield it’ll be “Always lower prices” and on the other it’ll be “Every little helps” – supermarket wars in rural Leicestershire! 🙂

Looks like someone’s been flying over Bruntingthorpe! Is she as ugly ‘in the flesh’?
I can’t fly and take photos at the same time – honest! :dev2: And yes it does look as ugly! Fortunately the other side is still Olympic Airways.

The over-wing devices (speedbrakes/lift dumpers?) are free to move and could be lifted and damaged by winds. Weighted tires stop that happening without damaging the structure or the painted surfaces.

Ive just heard from a very good source that rumours are that flybe are going to be getting a plane painted in asda colours as there next logo jet.
By: Rlangham - 21st August 2006 at 12:41
REally good but who owns that plane and why are they putting ASDA on it
It’s owned by the Waltons who own Bruntingthorpe – it had the asda livery put on (one side only) for the ASDA charity day at Brunty yesterday, don’t know about the green bits, but the writing is only stickers

Strangely likeable!
Perfect phrase to sum it up :D.

And here was me thinking a 747 could never look bad…
That is without doubt, the most disgusting, vile thing I’ve ever seen sprawled across a jumbo. Looks awful in my humble opinion! I’m just glad there arn’t more of ’em!
