Hi
Astraeus are launching flights to Cape Verde. Flights will be operated to to Sal, the main international airport in the group of Atlantic Ocean islands from both London Gatwick and Manchester once weekly.
Weekly flights from London Gatwick will operate on Thursdays from 2 November, flown by Boeing 757 aircraft with scheduled service interior configuration and a premium Star Class cabin. Flights will depart from North Terminal at 09:45, arriving Sal at 14:40 and return flights from 9 November will leave Sal at 15:40 and arrive in London Gatwick at 22:20.
Weekly flights from Manchester will operate on Thursdays from 2 November, flown by 148- seat Boeing 737-700 aircraft. For operational reasons, there is a probability that return flights from Sal to Manchester will need to make a short stop at Banjul in the Gambia.

My word, they do use those 73G’s to their full range! But why not! If it makes sense, economically wise, then all the best to them
I wouldnt mind a week in Cape Verde either Mr L 😀

They are for Holiday Options – they are starting tour operations down there. The have just started the Azores and it is thought that they are going to have thier own charters there.

Their 737s were certified for ETOPS ages ago, they go crazy distances in them. Africa and the Middle East is pretty routine, alongside pretty regular trips out to Canada in them as well.

That’s a fair old trek for a B737-700, isn’t it?
I seem to remember someone operating LGW-Goa in MD80s, but it was quite a while ago.

Interesting, Quite an unusual Destination.
Why do Gatwick always get the 757’s and at MAN we get the 737’s!
