Out of interest does anyone have an astro compass mounting for a Varsity fits below the astrodome with a long pin at each end.

Blackburn Beverly, the unsung hero of transports. Served a year on 47Sqdn at Abingdon…….a long time ago.

Too long ago to remember any details but try searching for Blackburn Beverly.

Many thanks for your reply.. i did see a Blackburn Beverley C Mk.1 XB261 cockpit at Newark from the outside id thought id nailed it, but after entering inside the brackets were different and the dome itself looked very slightly smaller. not to say that there may be a different version but one of the closest yet. i will keep researching the Beverley though.

Can’t say for sure but I found what appears to be an identical astrodome ‘nipple’ at an RAF Liberator GR.VIII crash site
