Nice work Tony. Please excuse my minimal Spitfire knowledge, but is this for a High or Low back spit? And is this to go with your Mk.IX cockpit display or Seafire cockpit project?

Beat me……..Nice work mate very impressed with your workmanship.Very clean and tidy.Did you have original parts to copy or is it all by the seat of your pants stuff.Driving me crazy trying to work out the intercostal brackets. I am a bit ahead of you with F10 though..:) Here is what I,ve been playing with lately..And going insane with…

😀 Keep up the great work..It is inspiring…

nice jig!
Re frame 11; I had the u channels made and the diaphragms cut out, the rest is little old me. The armour mounting brackets are original tho’. Regarding intercostal brackets, i have gone ‘off piste’ and engineerguestimated them from phots/observations blah.

Damn… I hoped you had either, found the buried Whirlwind at Westlands, built a full sized flying replica and had posted a video of it’s maiden flight on UTube or at the very least posted some photo’s of your mate’s reconstructed Whirly cockpit…

So, what exactly is it your saying? Looks like something a Spitfire might need…

i wish! but……(sounds like a cue for a song!)…..one Tony Dyer….there’s only one Tony Dyer…one Tony Dyer…..theres only one Tony Dyerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!…
the Whirly at Yeovil is a no go, the 1/4 cockpit is in planning/parts collection.
