On the back paage of the Sunday Mail supplement they have these persistence of Vision images. I have seen a few before and they are fabulous!

And now, just short of 24 hours after the image was posted…. I finally see it! It’s a miracle, or maybe the lager! I’ve seen things like this before, but now I can actually see it, it is a good example.

This is called Persistence of Vision. It is the same principle that allows us to see movies as a continuous picture rather than the flickering images that they really are.
